During Covid-19 lockdown and in line with the Government's advice all the counselling sessions are offered via video based platform or via telephone. The choice of platform is your choice and you can try a number of different modes, to see which one suits you the best.

I am a qualified and experienced Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist working with individual adults and young people.

Clients access therapy for various reasons. Maybe they feel anxious and depressed and it just seems hard to get up and go out. Some clients are bereaved after a loss of someone dear and find it difficult to move on. Some clients self-harm or feel suicidal because that’s the way they best control their feelings and thoughts. And sometimes relationships issues, identity or stress can cause much distress to some people.

Clients find that counselling and psychotherapy offer opportunity to talk things through in a way they can’t talk to their family members or their doctors. Counsellors are non-directive and responsive and clients often say this releases them from any constraints and restriction that caused blockages to changes in the past. They say it often brings relief and comfort to know their feelings and story are heard and understood.

Whatever you story is I am certain it’s unique and different and it deserves to be heard. I hope to be able to share in your experience. I will not tell you off for feeling the way you do, or give you advice. You know yourself better than I; I have only just met you. However, I can help you see things in a different way.

I will try to help you explore links and patterns from childhood experiences to present behaviour. My aim is to really listen and understand what you are going through from your perspective.

I can offer you a space that is safe and non-judgemental where you can start exploring and making sense of your issues. Often we need to start by looking into the past to understand your patterns and reasons behind their development. Then we continue by looking forward to see how you can possibly change them.

This can be a space where you can feel secure to share your emotions, explore past experiences, challenge present actions and hopefully find a new way of relating that you are more contented with.
